Give someone the tools to peel, trim and prepare. Nogent*** micro-serrated knife sets bring complementary tools together around the Affidenté® edge. A clean cut, without sharpening, for the tasks that return every day. A way to equip a first kitchen or rediscover familiar essentials, with objects made to be used and the pleasure of preparing something to share, day after day.
Four tools for everyday preparation
The Affidenté® Confort kitchen set contains a peeler and three paring knives: a 6.5 cm straight-profile blade, an 8 cm blade and a 9 cm blade. These sizes support related but distinct tasks. The peeler removes the skin; the knives take over for trimming and cutting. Together, they offer different ways to work with fruit and vegetables according to their size and the precision needed for the preparation in front of you.
Their shared feature is the Affidenté® edge: four teeth per millimetre, almost invisible to the naked eye. It cuts through the skin and produces a clean cut without crushing the flesh. The XC50CrMoV15 stainless steel blades are worked in our Biesles workshops in Haute-Marne. Micro-serrations are applied by hand after sharpening. This manufacturing detail makes its way into the kitchen when a tomato slices easily and the pieces keep their shape until serving.
A gift made for everyday cooking
A useful set begins with the recipient’s habits. Do they prepare fruit every morning? Do they often cook vegetables? Would small blades help with their everyday preparation? The Confort set provides tools that can be used separately or together around the worktop. Each keeps its purpose without asking anyone to learn how to cook again. A first home or the wish to replace a few essentials is enough to give them a place.
The black polypropylene handles are dishwasher-safe. Affidenté® blades need no sharpening. That simplicity matters for a set intended for regular use, rather than being kept in its box. Before choosing, look at the tools included, their dimensions and their care requirements. Small paring knives serve a different purpose from a chef’s knife or table cutlery. What matters is giving something that will genuinely be used, then letting the meals that follow do the rest.
