Large microserrated knives
Vegetables are waiting on the board. A meal for several people is taking shape. Nogent*** large micro-serrated knives provide useful blade length for precise cutting, chopping and slicing. Their Affidenté® edge needs no sharpening. From slicing knife to chef’s knife, each shape supports a task, keeping the pleasure of cooking in view when preparation needs a little more room to unfold.
Three lengths for different tasks
The 16 cm slicing knife suits cold meats and fish. The 17 cm kitchen knife offers a versatile format for cutting, chopping and slicing fruit, vegetables and meat. Its length remains manageable on the board. With a 20 cm blade, the chef’s knife provides another format for these preparations. These are complementary tools to choose according to the ingredients you work with most often, rather than a collection you need to own in full.
A large blade is not a requirement for good cooking. It becomes useful when the size of the ingredients and the preparation call for it. Consider a comfortable length, the blade shape and the space available on your worktop. A paring knife remains useful for smaller cuts. Larger formats take over for work on the board, without asking the same tool to do everything from the first piece of fruit to the last vegetable.
The Affidenté® edge, with every cut
Precision rests on a fine detail: four teeth per millimetre, almost invisible to the naked eye. The blade cuts into ingredients cleanly without crushing delicate flesh. This edge needs no sharpening. It should not be confused with the larger serrations of a bread knife. Affidenté® is a distinct blade finish, designed to make cutting feel smoother, from the first vegetables you prepare to the last slice you place on the serving dish.
Made in Biesles, Haute-Marne, the XC50CrMoV15 stainless steel blades receive their micro-serrations by hand after sharpening. Large Affidenté® Confort knives have ergonomic polypropylene handles and are dishwasher-safe. Handle feel and care matter as much as blade length. Preparing vegetables for supper or lunch for several people is, above all, something to enjoy. The right tool helps you get on with it; it does not decide the menu or set the pace for your time in the kitchen.
