Wood in the hand. A clean cut on the board. Affidenté® Naturel knives pair a French wild cherry wood handle with our micro-serrated blade. They support everyday fruit, vegetables and smaller preparations without the need for sharpening. Made in Biesles, these tools bring the pleasure of cooking together with the feel of a natural material that keeps its own character.
Wild cherry wood, felt in every grip
The handle begins with a tangible material: PEFC-certified French wild cherry wood. Its fine grain and warm colour give each knife a quiet presence. The grain varies from one piece to another. You can choose the same model, but never quite the same wood. That natural feel matters as much as the shape. It is what your hand returns to when preparing an apple or a few vegetables for supper.
The wood is air-dried for a year before being worked in our workshops. In Biesles, Haute-Marne, we also control blade manufacturing. The XC50CrMoV15 stainless steel is micro-serrated by hand after sharpening. Four teeth per millimetre, almost invisible to the naked eye, cut into the ingredient precisely. A tomato skin gives way without its flesh being crushed. Wood and edge therefore serve the same purpose: making the task feel comfortable and straightforward.
Small blades for the tasks that keep returning
The 9 cm paring knife suits small and medium-sized fruit and vegetables. The 11 cm version provides more length when the ingredient calls for it. For clean, straight cuts, the 8 cm straight-profile model offers another useful option. Each size has a clear purpose. Choosing starts with your habits, the ingredients you enjoy preparing and the way the knife sits in your hand, rather than the need to own every model.
The Affidenté® micro-serrated edge needs no sharpening. Its wooden handle is washed by hand rather than in the dishwasher. Naturel peelers with one or two cutting edges bring the same feel to peeling. From the first peeled tomato to the last prepared pieces, the tools complement one another without dictating a recipe. Cut, taste and share. The knife is there to make these moments easier, day after day, whether you are cooking just for yourself or for others.
